AIRE Centre of Excellence is proud to disclose the latest collaboration with WAMOS AIR to modify and refurbish Stelia Aerospace seats for two upcoming A330s. The overall Scope of Work of the modification required several stakeholders which took care of different aspects of the project, with the same proactive approach and working “shoulder by shoulder”.
At first stage of the project Wamos Air defined a BC layout to accommodate the seat with 44” pitch: mentioned requirement brought to a necessary modification of the seat plinth and centre front row monument (FRM), carried on by AIRE Part 145 team. Downstream of plinth and centre FRM modification, AIRE implemented the replacement of the IFE system from the pre-mod Panasonic system to new Safran RAVE IFE.
Besides the Part 145 support on structure and IFE modifications, AIRE team took care of the complete seats restoring and refurbishment, painting them according to the Trim&Finish set by WAMOS AIR on its cabins and manufacturing a fully leather seat cover with diamond geometry to uniform the design of operator fleet.
In this environment, AIRE Airworthiness and Design Office, as an EASA approved Part 21J company, undertook the relevant Service Bulletin to certify new seats painting and the installation of new covers, closing the loop touching all the three areas AIRE is specialized.
